Questions, comments, corrections, and objections are all welcome here, and every message is read and considered. Before writing, it is worth spending a few minutes with the rest of the site, beginning with the FAQ — it answers the questions that come up most often, and much of what readers write to ask is already there.

The commentary walks through the statement clause by clause, the appeal sets out the case for a shared floor, and the history gives the early sources these words come from. A question the site already answers may not receive a reply by email.

One thing worth knowing before you write. This is meant to be a floor — the shared core a believer must hold, not a full account of what any church teaches. Much of what it leaves unsaid is unsaid on purpose, so that congregations across a wide range of traditions can affirm it without qualification. Wording that brings a clause closer to one tradition's fuller teaching usually makes it less usable as a floor. The most useful messages are those showing that a clause is mistaken, unclear, or worded so that it shuts out a tradition it need not.
